Message Board Bass Fishing Links Peacock Fishing More Pictures
The purpose of this site is to allow Largemouth and Peacock Bass Fisherman local to SouthEast Florida to accurately share their experiences with others.
Everyone is welcome to post their most recent results on the (Message Board).
We encourage you to include as much information as possible. No one expects you to give away your "honey hole". Please, however, give your fishing date, approximate location, fishing conditions (weather, depth, water temp, etc...) and successful tactics used. The idea is to use this site as a "quick reference" before deciding on a place to fish.
For example, are they biting in the alley at mm41 on worms or in L-67 on buzzbaits? Or, even better, is Okeechobee the place to go? Basically, the more each person puts in, the more each gets out.
Limited Advertising is Allowed
Guides are more than welcome to post their results. My goal is to eliminate "fish stories" from guides trying to sell you their service. We have way too much of that here in South Florida. Occasionally, I will allow guides to post their services if they are being honest about and report their catches. An occasional "free" pointer would be nice, too. You will see local guide Alan Zaremba often posting his catches and contact info here.
Also, if you have a boat to sell or are looking for a partner to fish with (tournament or just for fun), feel free to post that as well. In addition, the Everglades Restoration Group SAFER (South florida Anglers For Everglades Restoration) regularly posts their information here. Basically, it is "your site" to have fun with. It's been wildly successful for a year now and we have regulars who use it often.
My name is Bart. I am an avid
bass fisherman living in South Florida. Eat, Sleep, Fish has been my motto for
the last 3 years. I fish as often as I can, always with my friends. I do not own
a boat, but manage to get out often. I used to fish with my good is no reason
not to catch fish with this level of technology. Of course, as life would
have it, Terry now lives in Arizona with the boat. Don't know who/what I miss more? Of course, I'm
kidding. For those of you who know Terry, he is very happy in
Prescott, Arizona as the Asst. Administrator of the VA Hospital
there. He regularly fishes Lake Saguro, Lake Powell and Canyon Lake - some of
which have produced record Largemouth Bass. Also, he is hours from Castaic and Casitas and minutes
from other incredible bass, smallmouth, and trout fishing. Special thanks to
Terry for his exceptional photography - proudly displayed on this site. I'm
sure you can tell which photo's are his (excellent photographer)

Buddy
(right) and I have been fishing
several times. We
met on the water at Loxahatchee
National Wildlife Refuge (a favorite fishing spot of Buddy's). He has a
black and red . Buddy has been instrumental in supporting this
website and regularly posts his tips and tricks. Also, he re-invented the
"wacky worm" (at least that's what he says). Thanks, Buddy, for making
this site a success.
Over the last several years, I have learned Lake Okeechobee quite well and have caught many nice fish. When I first started fishing, I preferred the Everglades because I was familiar with it. After learning how to fish Okeechobee, I can honestly say that there is NO comparison. Okeechobee has a greater number of consistently large fish and they fight much harder than the Everglades fish do.
OCCASIONAL DEEP SEA FISHING SUCCESS

Bart Savage, Terry Atienza, Darrin Greck
A 27 pound Dolphin
(above - left) caught with my friend Pete off of new Smyrna beach about 30
miles. I ate fish for a week. Also (left) is a 25 pound Jack
Crevalle caught on 12 pound test line just off the coast. Took about 45
minutes to land him and we had to chase him 2 miles as he kept spooling the
reel.
